Re: Mark Dockery
Oh I am sure that there are some, but I don't believe that is the case for most people. Go by there one evening as school lets out and you got a pretty good idea that most of the TN plates do in fact go to TN

Re: Mark Dockery
Well id say thers some that are from Tenn. but not really as many as Rick thinks. Some of em live on state line and back in Mendota/Bristol. But even then most of them are not athletes.

Re: Mark Dockery
As I've said before. I graduated from Gate City and now live in Kingsport. As long as my kids can legally go to school there, then I'd want them to go there. It'd tickle me to death. There aint a dang thing you can do about it. That's between the family and the school. You people that just want to look for an excuse to whine and [censored] about, you need to find a hobby or something more important to worry about. You're beating a dead horse. It's none of your business where a kid goes to school as long as they're doing it legally.

Re: Mark Dockery
Nice post. I've never spoken up about this topic, but I will have to say I agree with you. As long as it's legal there is nothing wrong. I knew several people that lived in Wise and went to Pound and vise versa. Same as Appy/Norton.

Absolutely!
As a parent of three, I would have taken mine where I wanted them to go, and it sure wasn't anyone's business but mine and my wife's! I wanted mine to go to Rye Cove, but they could just have easily ended up at GC or PV. Since my wife drove past PV every day, it would have been very simple to have sent them there.

Re: Mark Dockery
I agree 100%...also I am divorced, 2 kids. I live in Virginia on the state line. My ex lives in Tennesse. I actually live much closer to North than to Gate City. I went to GC my ex went to North. My kids go to GC. They have to option to go where they want given they have a parent in each state. Alot of people live in TN but went to GC and want their kids to go there also. Nothing wrong with that at all. And just for the Twin Springs post, on the Volunteer boys a couple years ago, I happen to know both of the families and neither one of them moved, they stayed in good ole Hawkins county the entire time! I'm sure GC has quite a few TN students but that does not mean every single one of them play sports, it just seems Twin Springs poster is looking for an excuse. But people who live in glass houses should not throw stones!!! Every year there is an exchange student or something and I doubt very seriously they found Nickelsville on the map all by themselves.

Re: Mark Dockery
I'm from Kingsport and graduated from DB....All of you people worried that GC is getting their finest atheletes from Kingsport, forget it...All they are getting are the scrubs that can't get playing time at DB......ask the BBall player from last year
